The Pike Place Market historic district covers nine acres between 1st Ave and Western Ave and Pike St. and Virginia St. in downtown Seattle to the east of the waterfront.  

 

Pike Place Market is the city’s center for fresh, local produce, specialty food and small independent businesses. The market has its “Meet the Producer” tradition with a year-round farmers market, owner-operated bakeries, fish markets, butcher shops, produce stands and specialty food stores.

There are 225 craftspeople, more than 200 unique shops and services, and more than 80 restaurants within the Market boundaries, from take-out counters to fine dining establishments.
